Dr. Gary Rose graduated from Michigan State University in 1973. He is a member of the national, state and county veterinary association as well as the American Animal Hospital Association. He is past president of the San Diego county veterinary association. He opened Cabrillo Pet Hospital in 1975 and is fortunate to still enjoy his “job” after more than 30 years.

By surrounding himself with such an experienced, caring staff, he has built one of San Diego’s most respected Veterinary Hospitals and Pet Care Centers.

Dr. Rose enjoys back packing, fly fishing, gardening and just about anything outdoors. He and his wife Leslie have one dog, four cats and four Koi fish and three children.

Dr. Norman Hibser started at Cabrillo Pet Hospital in January of 2007. He has been working in various hospitals in the North County and Murrieta since selling his practice in Escondido. He grew up in Northern California (Humboldt County) and after a brief time at Humboldt State, worked at various occupations until returning to college in 1970. He is a 1977 Graduate of the University of California, Davis and spent a brief time in the Seattle, Washington area before joining Escondido Veterinary Hospital as an employee, then partner, then sole owner.

Out side of work he enjoys rowing and working on the house and yard. Dr. Hibser is a proud father, grandfather and husband with 2 sons and 2 grand-daughters.

Dr. G. Rochelle Brinton is a 1983 Graduate of Colorado State University and has practiced in San Diego for the past 22 years.  She served six years on the Executive Board of the San Diego County Veterinary Association, and served as president in 1992.

Her special interests include surgery, emergency/ critical care, and feline medicine.  She founded the “San Diego Feral Cat Coalition in 1989 and continues to promote the sterilization of not only feral cats, but of all pets in order to promote optimum health care and longevity. Her hobbies include backpacking, hiking, biking and SCUBA diving and of course looking after her cats.
